Event Management Workshop — AUT South | Sustainable Coastlines

Event Details

Since 2009 our experienced staff have delivered over 300 events, motivating tens of thousands of volunteers to remove over a million litres of rubbish from the coast, and to plant thousands of trees alongside our waterways. Now we are looking for more people to help us spread our impacts far and wide.

As part of the lead-up to our Love Your Coast Manukau Harbour project in February 2016, we would love you to join us for our free Event Management workshop on Saturday 28 November 2015, 1pm to 3pm at AUT South Campus, 640 Great South Road, Manukau. The workshop will be held in room ME102; more detailed instructions will be sent to registered attendees.

This two-hour workshop is free to attend and involves a multimedia presentation and interactive training session, during which we provide an insight into our experience motivating over 40,000 volunteers during clean-ups, tree-planting events and fundraisers. This training session is designed for anyone who would like to help us deliver beach clean-up activities with schools and organisations around the Manukau Harbour from Monday 15 February to Friday 18 March 2016, giving attendees of this workshop the perfect opportunity to put their training into practice.

Drawing from our combined knowledge, this workshop focuses on the key skills needed for running successful events and passes on tips and techniques for attendees to deliver their own events.

We would love to see you there. You don’t need to bring or prepare anything, however all participants need to please register through the quick form below. Registration only takes 30 seconds, we promise.
