Thank you to everyone for much for coming to the Love your Water Tree planting at the Kaikorai Stream, Dunedin.
What a great day.  We got 300 trees in the ground, mulched and ‘sacked’ with over 60 volunteers, including two local schools – Kaikorai School and Green Island School and our sponsors Westpac were on the ground helping out all day.
We’d like to thank all the people who’s hard work made Love your Water Dunedin such a success.  Thanks to Enviroschools’ coordinator Jennie Upton for helping so much with the schools, a huge thanks to Hendrik from Manuka Farm for showing us the ropes and growing and supplying the plants.  Thanks to Phoenix Organics and Cafe Topiary for the delicious scones and juices, as well as all our sponsors.  The Kaikorai Stream has seen its share of trouble, but with these good people I think the future of this stream is looking bright.
We’ll be back next year!

For the Otago portion of the 2015 Love your Water campaign we invite you to join us for a fun day of tree planting and mulching at The Kaikorai Stream on Thursday 6 August 2015. The Kaikorai Stream has some great people lovingly overlooking its restoration and we want to help them out and get the community and local schools involved to give this area some much-deserved love.

Simply meet from 10.00am at the Shand Valley Park, on Brighton Road, near the Green Island Landfill. Look for our blue Sustainable Coastlines flags. We’ll be starting from 10.00am putting on a snack lunch and drinks thanks to Phoenix Organics, and finishing up around 2.00pm. You can stay for as little or as long as you like.

Volunteers, corporate groups and schools are all welcome to come along and get your hands dirty, give some love to previous plantings, and plant new native trees to help the water of Kaikorai Stream.
