Multi award-winning charity Sustainable Coastlines seeks applicants for a full-time Auckland-based Programmes Manager. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to work with our small but fast-growing team made up of people who are passionate about making a difference.
This is a senior position within the organisation which will involve working closely with the General Manager and CEO. To be a successful applicant you will need to be an organisational superstar with an awesome attitude and a deep commitment to the cause.
The Programmes Manager will support SC by helping to deliver existing Auckland-based programmes and by managing a new internship programme. The role will involve co-ordinating large scale activities for groups of volunteers and engaging with a diverse range of community stakeholders. You will manage the orientation, training, day-to-day logistics and programming that will see from 5 – 25 international volunteers take part in activities that directly deliver on Sustainable Coastlines’ charitable purpose.
The job will be varied and will involve some travel within New Zealand as part of on-the-job training, with the possibility of international travel as the position develops.
This is a complex role; not for someone who wants to clock in day after day, it will require heaps of initiative and motivation. The applicant will require a head for planning, a heart for people and a voice for presenting.

About Sustainable Coastlines
Sustainable Coastlines is a young, multi-award winning New Zealand charity run by a small team of hard-working staff and a network of passionate volunteers and interns. We love our coasts and we work with our sleeves rolled up to keep them beautiful. We coordinate and support large-scale coastal clean-up events, educational programs, public awareness campaigns and riparian planting projects. We also help groups run their own events. Through these efforts we motivate volunteers and communities around Aotearoa and the Pacific to look after the coastlines and waterways we all love. Find out more here.
