1% Collective Cleanup and Survey at Breaker Bay – POSTPONED! | Sustainable Coastlines

Event Details

Apr 2019

We provide:

What to bring:

  • Sturdy, closed-toe shoes This is critical for Health & Safety considerations: those not wearing closed-toe shoes will not be able to participate.
  • Warm and waterproof clothes. At least one warm top layer and a rain jacket.
  • Sun hat and sunscreen
  • Reusable water bottle (filled up and ready to go)
  • Your old or unused mobile phone to recycle. As charity partner of the RE:MOBILE phone recycling scheme, donating your old mobile helps us raise critical funds for freshwater restoration.
  • Bring a camera (optional). We would love to see your event photos! Use the tag #loveyourwater on social media or email photos to oliver@sustainablecoastlines.org

Unfortunately the weather is looking marginal this Sunday – we’ll arrange for a better day soon!

Charity partners, One Percent Collective and Sustainable Coastlines, would love you to join us from 2pm–5pm TBT for a Collective clean-up of Wellington’s beautiful Breaker Bay.

Meet at the Breaker Bay Hall – 150 Breaker Bay Road

Sustainable Coastlines’ Wellington Programmes Manager, Oliver, will share updates on their “Citizen Science” project, plus he’ll walk you through how they audit what you have collected on the day. Kids will love being part of this and if you have any friends who’d like to join, bring them along too. Plus, we are lucky enough to have the Montfoortcrew generously cooking up some delicious Dutch sweets post clean-up ?
