In collaboration with Te Taiao Conservation Network, we invite you to join us in cleaning up the Waitematā Harbour at Harbour View Beach Reserve. 

Please note the date has moved to the Sunday due to the sudden change in weather!

This is a weekend event, so don’t be shy, grab your whānau, a mate (or two!) and give back to our beautiful moana.

On the day there will be a sign-in station where volunteers will pick up gear, be given a briefing and then head out for a beach clean-up, litter survey and audit. You will also have a chance to learn about the significance of the area for bird biodiversity and the importance of pest control. Afterwards, we’ll celebrate our mahi with music, games, Phoenix Organics drinks and some amazing snacks provided by Sisterly swimwear – a sustainable brand based in Canada (visiting Aotearoa) that make swimming suits out of recycled fishnets and carpet fluff at the end of their useable life!

Please bring along any old mobile phones you have for recycling!

To reduce harmful emissions from exhausts and brake and tyre wear that impact on our coastlines we encourage you to consider travelling to this event by;

• Walking or riding a bike. The site is located on a walking and cycling path and valet bike parking will be provided.
• Public transport. The event is easily reached by bus – Stop 1610 or 1671. Plan your trip with the Auckland Transport Journey Planner. 

HOUSE KEEPING: Pets are not allowed. Even though we love good dogs, we can’t have them on the reserves as these are nesting areas. Please do not bring your dog, we hope you can understand.
