The matariki planting hosted by Auckland Council as part of the Mayor’s Million Trees programme was a huge success! The amazing volunteers collectively planted 10,000 trees at Pūhinui Reserve over two days (16th and 18th June), another step closer to achieving restoration of te taiao. A collection of high resolution photos from 16th June and the 18th June can be found here & here (respectively).
A massive thank you to the Arbor Day Foundation for sponsoring the Million Trees programme making this day possible!
