As part of our amazing collaboration with Re-Naturing Katikati Taiao and with support from our sponsor Corona, we would like to invite you to join us on Saturday the 16th of October for a community planting day alongside the Uretara River.

This is a beautiful waterway and through the passion and efforts of Re-Naturing Katikati Taiao, this section is well on the way to being restored.

How to get there: Head to Katikati and head down the driveway to the right of Robert Harris. We’ll meet from 09.30 am; look out for the Sustainable Coastlines flags and friendly helpers in high-vis gear.

We’ll be starting from 9.30 am and finishing up around 12 noon. You can stay for as little or as long as you like, but around noon we’ll all come together for some tasty food and some Phoenix Organics Drinks.

What does the day involve?
9:15 am Registration opens. Help yourself to tea and coffee served.
9:30 am Opening words from Re-Naturing Katikati Taiao and Sustainable Coastlines.
9:40 am Safety briefing and planting demonstration.
9:50 am Commence carax planting
12:00 pm Return to home base for lunch and a team photo.
