Join us at Ramada Resort, Taipa Beach, Karikari in Northland for a Litter Intelligence Education Programme Engagement Day. This workshop is free to anyone interested in our project-based environmental education programme.

Backed by the Ministry for the Environment, Sustainable Coastlines is in the roll-out stage of a project to create grassroots solutions to litter in Aotearoa. As part of this project, we are offering a free engagement day to describe the programme in detail to teachers, educators and interested parties.

Over the past two years we have worked with behavioural change and education experts to design an exciting programme.  It is a flexible programme for teachers and students changing hearts, minds and behaviours around litter pollution, which easily connects into several areas of the national curriculum and the NZ qualifications framework. The platform is designed to be tailored to suit a variety of educational contexts and age groups, and can be applied to new and existing local initiatives.

Our programme aims to increase teachers’ capacity to deliver educational solutions for pro-environmental behaviour change. While the context for this training will be to improve litter reduction behaviours, the skills developed and the tools offered will be useful across a broad range of education contexts, and exemplars of these will be readily available. We look forward to working with you to look after the places we love.

The afternoon is fully funded by the Ministry of Environment

We encourage anyone that is involved in education including local council members, community group leaders and parents. If you are interested in attending, please register on the form below.

As a preparation for the day, go to www.litterintelligence.org, take a browse around and find the answer to the following question:  Which is the  most plastic dense beach in your region?

We are undertaking one workshop per region across Aotearoa and we hope you can join us.

Please register your attendance on the form below.
