Keen to protect your beautiful coastline? Meet us at Honiana Te Puni Reserve, Petone Beach, 1.30pm on Saturday 2 August for an impactful beach clean-up, thanks to our friends at Hutt City Council.

This month’s clean-up is in remembrance of our dear friend and colleague Ben Knight. Ben worked tirelessly in the Wellington region and around the motu to protect the ocean he loved, so whether you knew Ben or not, join us to continue his amazing mahi.

This is a free, weekend event, so don’t be shy — grab your whānau and mates and give back to our beautiful moana. We’ll be out there from 1.30pm, but feel free to show up and leave when you like — it’s a Saturday after all!

Litter Intelligence survey

Alongside the clean-up we will also be conducting a Litter Intelligence survey, collecting litter data to inform action for a world without litter. If you’re keen to get involved in being a citizen scientist for a morning, let Sam know in advance (email [email protected]), or make yourself known on the day.
