Come along and celebrate World Water Day by joining us at Petone Beach on Saturday 23rd March. Take action for the moana by removing litter and learning more about Litter Intelligence – the national beach litter database and solutions platform!
All welcome to this whānau-friendly free event. We’ll start from 10am, heading onto the beach for the clean-up, then end with Phoenix Organics drinks and snacks.
Please bring along any old mobile phones you have for recycling!
All equipment will be provided including gloves, sacks, health and safety documents.
Timing
10:00am – Event sign-in begins at the Honiana Reserve Car Park
10:10am – General welcome and H&S briefing
10:20am – Litter Intelligence briefing for those keen to help us with some rubbish science!
10:30am – Clean-up instructions and equipment hand-out
10:40am – Clean-up begins
11:40am – Litter audit back at registration area
12:45pm – Clean up finishes
1:00pm – Celebration back at registration area with Phoenix drinks!
