Help us welcome in the New Year with a clean up at our favourite spot – Petone Beach!

This will be held at the Ski Club end of the beach where we know the problem is its greatest! We will be sending volunteers to clean up different spots along the beach from the Ski Club to the Wharf. We will also be running a Litter Intelligence survey & audit, so we can capture data on what items are found at this site.

Please bring along any old mobile phones you have for recycling!

All equipment will be provided including gloves, sacks, health and safety documents.

Timing

• 09:00am – Event sign-in begins at the Honiana Reserve Car Park
• 09:10am – General welcome and H&S briefing
• 09:20am – Litter Intelligence briefing for those keen to help us with some rubbish science!
• 09:30am – Clean-up instructions and equipment hand-out
• 09:40am – Clean-up begins
• 10:40am – Litter audit back at registration area
• 11:45pm – Clean up finishes
• 12:00pm – Celebration back at registration area with Phoenix drinks!
