Join us and Hutt City Council for a Spring clean on Saturday 28th October at Petone Beach!
We’ll be hosting this clean up at the Ski Club end of the beach where we know the problem is its greatest! We will be sending volunteers to clean up different spots along the beach from the Ski Club to the Wharf. We will also be running a Litter Intelligence survey & audit, so we can capture data on what items are found at this site.
We will still be celebrating international e-waste day so please bring along any old mobile phones you have for recycling!
All equipment will be provided including gloves, sacks, health and safety documents.
Timing
09:45am – Event sign-in begins at the Honiana Reserve Car Park
10:00am – General welcome and H&S briefing
10:20am – Litter Intelligence briefing for those keen to help us with some rubbish science!
10:30am – Clean-up instructions and equipment hand-out
10:40am – Clean-up begins
11:40am – Litter audit back at registration area
12:30pm – Clean up finishes
12:30pm – Celebration back at registration area with Phoenix drinks!
