Remember to bring:

  • Closed-toed shoes
  • Sun-smart gear
  • Raincoats and appropriate clothing for the day on the coast
  • Reusable drink bottle, filled and ready to go
  • Camera!

We will provide: 

  • All relevant gear: gloves, sacks
  • Health and Safety documentation & briefing
  • First aid trained staff and first aid kits
  • Sunscreen
  • Hand sanitiser
  • Rubbish removal to transfer station.

We’re excited to be supporting our friends at the Beautification Trust by connecting communities to Te Puhinui! Join us on the 8th of May, for a fun day of family-friendly community clean-up at our local Puhinui stream.

Keen to get your hands dirty (to keep our waterways clean)?! Read the description below and register through the buttons below.

Timing 

  • 8.30am – Meet at Auckland Botanic Gardens (Everglade Drive entrance)
  • 9.00am – Clean-up commences
  • 12.00pm – Return all rubbish back to the Beautification Trust and SC gazebo
  • 12:10pm – Help conduct a litter audit. on the waste to understand exactly what we collected. (Not compulsory).
  • 13:30pm – FINISH!!

Covid safety at our events

  1. If you, or anyone you live with feels ill, please do not attend.
  2. All attendees should follow cough and sneeze etiquette: Cough or sneeze into your elbow or a tissue (dispose of tissue immediately).
  3. Bring gloves to the event if you have them available at home. Although we will have freshly washed gloves for those who need.
  4. Please bring your own face mask.
  5. Wash and sanitise your hands regularly.
  6. Social distancing of 2m must be adhered to for those outside your bubble.
  7. The event may be cancelled at late notice due to the unfolding situation.
