PLEASE NOTE THE PARKING LOCATION HAS CHANGED

Due to the recent weather, we have changed the location to park your cars.

Please park at the start of the walkway bridge at 129 Dittmer Drive, West End, Palmerston North

Then walk across the bridge and follow the walkway alongside the river to the planting site.

Nau mai haere mai – come and join us to give some love to The Manawatu River by planting native trees at the Turitea Confluence!

This project is looking to restore the mana of the confluence, where mauri from the Turitea and the Manawatū meet.

As part of the ANZ Love Your Water Tour 2019, we are collaborating with Ngā Kaitiaki o te Rerenga Rauropi, Tanenuiarangi Manawatū Inc and the Manawatū River Source to Sea project to restore this important part of the awa and we would love you to come and muck in to help out.

The Manawatū is classified as a living being – It is our responsibility as kaitiaki to bring this stream back to life, so we are undertaking a restoration programme and want your help!

Meet at 374 Tennant Drive and look for the blue Sustainable Coastlines flags. We will be starting from 9:30am and finishing up by 4:00pm.

Tea, coffee and snacks provided

Please also share this page with anyone you know who might like to give some love to this mighty river.
