Event results

We had an awesome day this weekend to mark our half way point on our Puhinui plantings! Together with 40 amazing volunteers we managed to get around 1,386 trees in the ground at Puhinui Reserve. This was one of many public tree plantings Sustainable Coastlines are running for Vector as part of their Urban Forest, which is aiming to plant 26,000 trees this winter.

Planting trees helps create cleaner streams and creates awesome habitat areas for so many species to flourish. The trees of choice for this planting were harakeke (flax), mānuka, kānuka and rimu.

Thank you to everyone who came along! We look forward to seeing you at the next planting!
