Thank you for those who took the time to come along to our event at Wakaaranga Creek, the first tree planting event in the Love your Water 2015 tour!

We had 275 volunteers, students, parents and staff plant 700 trees, infilling and new planting an area of more than 900 m2 of riparian area.

Thanks to our partners Benefitz and Singapore Airlines, to HSBC, Keen Footwear, Westpac, Eye Specialists and Phoenix Organics for making our Love Your Water program possible

A special thanks to Mark Read and Auckland City Council for working with us to facilitate such a great day.

To kick off our 2015 Love your Water campaign we invite you to join us for a day of tree planting and fun on World Environment Day, Friday 5 June 2015. After our huge event there last year, with Auckland Council’s support, we’re going back to the Wakaaranga Creek Reserve in Half Moon Bay, Auckland, to plant trees, clear weeds, spread mulch and show this creek some love!

Simply meet from 10.00am at the Prince Regent Drive Entrance to the Reserve. Look for our blue Sustainable Coastlines flags. We’ll be starting from 10.00am, putting on a lunch and drinks thanks to Phoenix Organics, and finishing up around 4.00pm. You can stay for as little or as long as you like.

Volunteers, corporate groups and schools are all welcome to come along, get your hands dirty and tidy up last year’s efforts as well as plant new native trees to add to the beautiful Wakaaranga Creek Reserve. Afterwards we’ll all come together and step back to admire our efforts.
