Our experienced staff have delivered educational programs to nearly 100,000 people, motivated tens of thousands of volunteers to remove over a million litres of rubbish from the coast, and planted thousands of trees alongside our waterways. Now we are looking for people to help us spread our educational messages far and wide. Please join us for our Training Workshops in Wellington on Wednesday 25 June and Thursday 26 June, as part of our nationwide Training Workshops and Tree Planting Tour.

Workshops are free to attend, each workshop is two hours in length and involves a multimedia presentation and interactive training session. All workshops will be held at the Wellington City Library Mezzanine floor, at the following times:

  • Wednesday 25 June, 11.30am to 1.30pm — Engaging Community Probation Services workers
this workshop will pass on the information required to engage Community Probation Services workers (from the Department of Corrections) successfully to assist with community projects.
  • Wednesday 25 June, 5.30pm to 7.30pm — Presentation training workshop
This workshop will pass on the core public speaking and presentation delivery skills that our team has honed over the past five years. We will also provide an introduction to the content from our proven ‘Love your Coast’ litter-awareness presentation and our recently developed ‘Love your Water’ freshwater restoration presentation, which teach simple steps and creative changes we can all make to look after our coasts and waterways.
  • Thursday 26 June, 5.30pm to 7.30pm — Event management workshop
This workshop will focus on the key skills and tips for running successful events.
