Activate your local community to help clean up your beach on International Coastal Clean-up Day on the 21st of September.

As part of the International Coastal Clean Up Day, we are facilitating ANYONE to clean up the beach by supplying groups with gloves, bags, and assistance with health and safety  – everything you need to get you out there and muck in!

Simply register below and we’ll have a Clean-Up Kit ready for you and you group to pick up in Conservation Week (14th-22nd September). Once you’re done, drop the kit back off at the Flagship Education Centre in Wynyard Quarter, simple as that.

What do you need to do?

  • Register below before the 12th of September!
  • Wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes (those with inappropriate shoes won’t be able to take part in the clean-up). No gumboots – they get easily stuck in muddy areas.
  • All weather gear, including a raincoat and sun smart gear.
  • Drink bottle filled and ready to go
  • Lunch and snacks.
  • A good attitude!

What does Sustainable Coastlines provide?

  • Gloves
  • Rubbish sacks
  • Sharps container
  • Hand sanitiser
  • Health & Safety guidance
