To date, Sustainable Coastlines citizen scientists have completed almost 2,500 Litter Intelligence surveys. Each survey contributes invaluable data, which leads to insights and action for a world without litter.
Litter Intelligence data is powerful. It’s used in government reporting and it helped to inform bans on problem plastics. But our charity needs to meet the costs of collecting this data. Help our team continue to provide the support needed to ensure this impactful activity can flourish.
At Sustainable Coastlines we’re already making a big impact on the plastic pollution problem. And now we have the chance to scale up our impact with the help of ocean lovers like you.
If you love our mahi and want to make a difference to the places you love, now is the time to donate — your impact will be doubled! Your donation will help us to solve the problem long-term by ensuring that litter data keeps influencing those in power to make positive decisions for our precious ocean. As part of our Seaweek fundraiser, we now have our most fabulous auction items on Trade Me! These are one-of-a-kind experiences and objects that would usually be auctioned off at our Fundraising Ball (sadly cancelled due to the usual culprit). But now, everyone has a chance to bid!
Dig deep — all proceeds go towards our school education programme, which empowers our tamariki to protect our moana.

Educating children is key to our work. Last month we lost one of our biggest fundraisers of the year — our Fundraising Ball. We still want to share these important messages with children in Aotearoa, so we’re working twice as hard to make sure our team can get there.
We are aiming to raise $20,000 during our Double Your Donation campaign this Seaweek. This will fund our critical work educating and empowering school children to take action for our precious beaches and rivers.
