About the role:
As the Funding & Communications Director, you will be at the forefront of maintaining and strengthening our brand recognition. You’ll have the exciting opportunity to raise the profile of Sustainable Coastlines and Litter Intelligence, creating best-in-class opportunities for funding and engagement while increasing awareness about the litter problem with our invaluable volunteers, partners, and donors.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining Sustainable Coastlines’ strong brand recognition, ensuring it remains prominent and respected.
- Creating funding and engagement opportunities by strategically elevating Sustainable Coastlines’ profile.
- Driving insight into the litter problem by collaborating with volunteers, partners, and donors.
- Developing and implementing long-term funding strategies to expand organisational capabilities and achieve impact goals.
- Influencing large organisations to align with our impact goals.
- Building strong funding partnerships with government agencies, corporates, and philanthropic organisations.
- Meeting and surpassing agreed funding targets to sustain initiatives.
- Developing and growing the long-term donor program to ensure continued success.
- Overseeing Sustainable Coastlines’ brand and communications, ensuring a consistent and impactful message.
- Overseeing compelling digital experiences for volunteers, partners, and donors.
Skills and experience
- At least 5 years of experience managing marketing and sales teams or account management.
- Experience in the government, council, or not-for-profit sector would be advantageous.
- A passion for making a positive impact and contributing to solving the litter problem.
- Strategic and innovative thinking to develop effective funding and communication approaches.
- Strong relationship building skills to foster partnerships with stakeholders.
- A goal-oriented and results-driven approach to achieve funding targets.
- Excellent communication and brand management abilities.
- Adaptability and resilience to navigate changing circumstances effectively.
