Remember to bring:

  • Sturdy, closed-toe shoes that you don’t mind getting a bit muddy, this is critical for Health & Safety considerations. Hiking shoes are great!
  • Warm and waterproof clothes. At least one warm top layer and a rain jacket.
  • Sun hat and sunscreen.
  • Reusable water bottle (filled up and ready to go)
  • Bring a camera (optional). We would love to see your event photos! Use the tag #loveyourwater and @sustainablecoastlines on social media

Give some love to Papatūānuku, As part of the ANZ Love Your Water Series we are hosting a native tree planting event, and we would love you to join us!!

This site backs onto a stream and this planting will help restore the water and bring back a diverse range of biodiversity in the area.

We will be in Morrinsville on Saturday 30th July at 9:45am onwards.

How to get there: Head to 5A Harbottle Road, there you will see Sustainable Coastlines flags and friendly helpers in high-vis gear leading you to the. designated parking area and the planting site. We’ll meet from 9:45 am to sign you in and give you all your equipment.

We’ll be starting from 10.00 am and finishing up around 2.oo pm. You can stay for as little or as long as you like, but around noon we’ll all come together for some refreshing Phoenix Organics drinks and some yummy kai to refuel.

What does the day involve?
9:45 am Registration opens.
10:00 am Opening words.
10:15 am Safety briefing and planting demonstration.
12:00 pm Return to home base for lunch.
12:30 pm Photo and quick formalities, back to planting for those who wish to stay.
14:00pm(ish) Event finishes
