Covid update

Due to the current global pandemic, IVHQ volunteer projects around the world are currently closed, including our international volunteer programme here in New Zealand.

We are beginning to formulate plans to reopen our programme in accordance with policies being implemented by the government, the latest travel advisories and the status of local health risks. Before reopening our international volunteer programme again we want to ensure the safety of our volunteers, our staff and the local New Zealand communities we support — this will remain our highest priority.

We will continue to update our protocol surrounding this programme as we learn more about travel restrictions to and from New Zealand.

We are proud partners with International Volunteer HQ (IVHQ). IVHQ is a New Zealand–based volunteer organisation that works with non-profit organisations and individuals across the globe, and it consistently brings us wonderful volunteers to work with.

We make sure our volunteers are in capable hands with Natalia Groom, our dedicated volunteer coordinator. Natalia’s an expert at giving volunteers an unforgettable experience as she has masses of experience as a volunteer herself! We love having our volunteers as part of the Sustainable Coastlines team during their time with us. And judging by the smiles on their faces, the feeling is mutual.

If you’re based abroad and keen to volunteer with us, head to the IVHQ website for more information.
