On 12 December 2020, along with our friends at Arena Living, we’re organising a huge clean up across the Whangaparaoa Peninsula! With stations at Orewa Beach and Stanmore Bay we’re aiming to get participants to all the beaches along the Peninsula.

Join us before the clean up at Orewa Beach for a family friendly yoga session – BYO yoga mats/towels.

ZERO EXPERIENCE NEEDED!!

We will have main stations at Orewa Beach by the Surf Life Saving Club and at Stanmore Bay Park. Everything will be provided at these stations including health and safety documents, equipment and refreshments. You’ll then be allocated a beach to clean up across Whangaparaoa Peninsula. This way we hope to have as broad an impact as possible and tap into the local knowledge for rubbish hotspots.

Timing

  • 8.30am – Family yoga session starts at Orewa Beach.
  • 9:30am – Sign in at your local station and pick up gear
  • 9:45 – 10:15am – Love Your Coast Presentation
  • 10:15 – 10:30am – Health and Safety
  • 10:30am – Cleanup commences
  • 12:00pm – Return all rubbish back to relevant station and grab a snack and some refreshments
  • 12:30pm – Event Ends
