On 5 March 2022 we’re running a public cleanup around Manukau Harbour!

Come out and celebrate SeaWeek by cleaning up our beautiful coastline! Home base will be set up at the Manukau Yacht & Motor Boat Club. From there, you will be sent out to collect rubbish at different spots around the Manukau Harbour to ensure we clean-up as much of the coastline as possible!

To thank our volunteers on the day, Sustainable Coastlines will supply a zero waste lunch and treats by The Sustainable Food Co. as well as cold Phoenix Organics drinks.

Experiencing Marine Reserves (EMR) will also be running 3 kayaking sessions from 11am onward on the day! Participants will get to kayak through mangrove forests, spot native shore birds and see the Manukau Harbour from a different perspective. You can register for a kayaking session through this link: https://www.eventbrite.co.nz/e/mangere-kayak-day-registration-260573732047. Registrations for kayaking will open to the general public on the 28th Feb. Registrations for kayaking must be done separately to the clean-up.
