Covid safety at our events

  1. If you, or anyone you live with feels ill, please do not attend.
  2. All attendees should follow cough and sneeze etiquette: Cough or sneeze into your elbow or a tissue (dispose of tissue immediately).
  3. Bring gloves to the event if you have them available at home. Although we will have freshly washed gloves for those who need.
  4. Wash and sanitise your hands regularly.
  5. The event may be cancelled at late notice due to the unfolding situation.

In partnership with Auckland Unlimited, Sustainable Coastlines is excited to be a part of Tāmaki Makaurau’s summer festival, Summernova!

Adding to Summernova’s outstanding line-up of events, we’re putting on sustainability workshops, a speakers’ event, plus, you’ll see our interactive and informative education station out and about. Not forgetting what Sustainable Coastlines is known and loved for, we will also be hosting beach clean-ups around the beautiful Waitematā Harbour — including one on Rangitoto Island!

Rangitoto Island Clean-Up — FULL

Registrations closed, thanks for your interest. We are taking a boatload of people over to Rangitoto for an island-wide clean-up, and need your help! The day is totally free, giving Aucklanders the opportunity to experience and protect one of our beautiful Hauraki Gulf islands.

Sat–Sun, 27–28 March, 11am–5pm

Mission Bay Education Station

Come to Orewa Beach with the kids and experience our amazing Education Station. Plant a tree, play our giant guess who, enter the colouring comp, and learn about the problems affecting our coastlines and waterways.

Plant-Based Zero-Waste Cooking Workshop

Thanks to Amy from the Sustainable Food Co, learn tips and tricks for zero-waste, plant-based cooking, and demonstrations of two delicious recipes: beetroot pesto and chia–cacao bliss balls. Please note that this event is now taking place on Tuesday, 31 March.

Pasifika Education Station

We’re so excited to be at Pasifika this year! Come along with the kids and experience our amazing Education Station. Plant a tree, play our giant guess who, enter the colouring comp, and learn about the problems affecting our coastlines and waterways.

What is Ethical Fashion? With Ethically Kate

Learn the basics of ethical fashion, from seed to garment. You’ll leave with easy ways to incorporate sustainable fashion values into your own wardrobe. We’ll also be running an optional clothing swap as part of the event, so if you’re keen, bring along some clothes to swap!
