Beach clean-ups are central to Sustainable Coastlines and have been since our beginning in 2009. Our programmes continue to diversify, but the simple act of picking up litter from the beach remains fundamental to our mission.

Love Your Coast targets marine litter through beach clean-ups and education. Data collection has always been a big part of our clean-ups. In fact, it’s so important that we gave it its own programme — read more about Litter Intelligence here. 

Plastic pollution impacts our environment, the health of our wildlife, and human health. We invite schools, team-building groups and members of the public to join us on beach clean-ups to combat it. We inspire individuals to take action in their day-to-day lives, which prevents new litter from entering our precious marine environments.
